Black & White Film Photography
Register for the Spring term 2025
Level: Beginner
An introduction to analogue photography; metering and shooting a film camera; developing your own film, and fiber-based printing in our new state-of-the-art darkroom facility.
Lessons include the use of the camera and lens, and various strategies of metering for correct exposure; loading film tanks and processing to create good negatives for good prints; enlarger use and developing archival quality fiber-based silver-gelatin prints.
Students must be sure to use a camera in good working order or have their film cameras evaluated by a professional for any potential issues or degradation prior to class.

(includes chemicals; archival washing and print flattening.)
All courses include (5) 2 ½ hour sessions.
