academy darkroom

black and white film photography

WINTER 1 Registration Ends January 30th

Please be advised: Currently there is not an option for renting darkroom facilities.

The academy darkroom is a professional film photography studio, offering private one-on-one classes with detailed instruction and hands-on experience. From camera mechanics and use; developing your own film; fiber-based gelatin silver printmaking.

Analogue film photography never suffers from hard-drive failures, and if properly learned, your negatives and prints will be of archival quality to last many lifetimes.

Photographs define ourselves, our lives, our heritage, our cultures, and our aesthetic choices. A practiced eye can see life through a more meaningful lens; a more nuanced and personal lens. So if you haven’t already started a journey into this fine art legacy form of photography, then now’s the time. Register today and immerse yourself into a world you make your own.
